Salary: €36,000 - €45,000 (DOE) per annum, Paid Monthly

Overview of role:

Gaeltec is a leading company operating in the Energy and Telecommunication sectors. We are working as a joint venture on the roll-out of the next phase of its fibre broadband network across Ireland.

We are seeking a creative, highly motivated and innovative Data Analyst to join our team. We are looking for someone who can leverage key information from large scale data sets and communicate these imaginatively, coherently, and effectively. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the development, generation and distribution of key analysis documentation and the implementation of efficiency initiatives within the Team, as well as acting as a key contact person for other departments across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysis and organization of Raw Data;
• Construction of data systems and pipelines;
• Assessing business needs and objectives and interpreting trends and patterns;
• Conducting complex data analysis and reporting on results;
• Design and development of data models and reports based on Microsoft Power BI technology;
• Concept development for the implementation of POWER BI throughout the company;
• Development of Dashboards, reports and advanced analysis solutions;
• Identify and assess risks & opportunities
• Establish and maintain a good relationship with all team members of the Project within the company and create a good comradeship;
• Establish and maintain a good relationship with the managers;

To be considered for the Data Analyst position you will Ideally have the following:

• Degree in computer science, informatics or in a relevant area given the scope of the function;
• 2+ years of experience in strategy, analytics or process improvement within similar domains;
• 2+ years using SQL or other querying language and data tools;
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and experience working with people at all levels both inside and outside of the company;
• Experience managing with ambiguity in a high-pressure environment;
• Experience communicating the results of analyses, along with the experience to compile briefing materials and other communications;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Power BI;
• Good knowledge in the field of relational data modelling and in-memory data models (tabular) Excel;
• Great numerical and analytical skills;
• Excellent knowledge with SQL;
• Knowledge of programming languages ​​(e.g. Java and Python);
• Fundamental understanding in the field of information design and visualization patterns (e.g. IBCS);
• Ability to understand, analyse and optimize information flows that support business needs and processes;
• Autonomy and responsibility in the development of work;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Fluent level of English (oral and written);
